This policy sets the standards every OtherPlay page is written to. It covers independence, sourcing, accuracy, corrections and the limits of what the site claims. The How We Review page explains the checks in detail, and the Affiliate Disclosure explains how the site earns revenue.
Purpose
OtherPlay exists to show who runs a casino brand, which other brands share that operator and what that means for a player. The aim is accurate, checkable research that a capable reader can act on. Pages do not exist to move readers towards any single operator.
Independence
Commercial relationships do not shape editorial decisions. The order of listings, the choice of a strongest sister site and the wording of every assessment follow the criteria stated on the page. The same criteria apply to partner and non-partner operators.
An operator cannot pay for a position, a score, a favourable verdict or the removal of an adverse finding. An operator cannot approve a page before publication.
Sourcing
Every evaluative claim carries its basis in the same sentence. Primary sources come first: licence registers, company filings, regulator notices and the operator's own terms and conditions. Secondary sources, such as review platforms and press reports, are labelled as such and given with figure, sample size and date where they apply.
A claim that cannot be supported is not published. A single unverified source is not treated as fact, and the page uses hedged wording such as "reportedly" until a primary document confirms the point.
Accuracy and Verification
Figures are checked against the source before publication and carry a date. Where 2 sources conflict, the page shows the conflict. Where an operator does not publish a detail, the page says so and does not estimate.
Bonus figures always appear with their wagering condition. Wagering is stated with the base it applies to. Return to player figures are given as published.
Adverse Findings
Material adverse findings lead the page. Regulatory action is stated plainly, with the regulator, the date and the penalty where one applies. Findings about partner operators are published when the public record supports them.
Allegations that are unproven are labelled as allegations. A page does not present a press report, a complaint or a forum post as a confirmed fact.
Player Feedback
Review-platform scores appear with the platform, the figure, the number of reviews and the date. Player reviews are not quoted verbatim. Patterns are described in the page's own words, and small samples are flagged.
Authorship
Every page carries a named byline and a last-updated date. Bylines identify the analyst responsible for the page. Pages follow a consistent analytical style: third person, calibrated wording and plain statements of what was and was not checked.
Conflicts of Interest
Commission is the site's source of revenue and is disclosed on every page that lists operators. Reviewers do not set scores according to commercial terms. A page is not published or changed because of a commercial request from an operator.
Corrections and Updates
Pages are rechecked when an operator changes its terms, licence or ownership, when a regulator publishes a relevant action or when a reader reports an inaccuracy. A correction changes the page and its last-updated date together. Where a correction changes a conclusion, the page makes that clear.
Reports and requests go to hello@otherplay.co.uk. An operator may submit a factual correction with supporting documents. A request to change an assessment, a score or the order of listings is not accepted.
Responsible Gambling
OtherPlay does not present gambling as a source of income or a solution to financial problems. Content is aimed at adults aged 18 or over. Support services are listed on the Responsible Gambling page.
Limits
Pages are research and not advice. Operators change terms without notice, so every bonus term and licence status should be verified on the operator's own site before depositing.
