Cookie Policy

Last updated: 9 October 2026

This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies OtherPlay uses, why they are used and how a visitor can control them. It should be read with the Privacy Policy, which covers how personal data is handled more broadly.

What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files stored on a device when a website is visited. They let a site remember a device between pages and between visits. Similar technologies, such as local storage and tracking pixels, work in the same way and are covered by this policy.

Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies allow navigation between pages and store the visitor's cookie choices. They do not require consent under UK rules and cannot be switched off without breaking parts of the site.

Analytics Cookies

Analytics cookies measure how visitors use OtherPlay. They count visits, show which research pages are most useful and flag pages with technical faults. The information is aggregated, and individual visitors cannot be identified from it.

Affiliate Tracking Cookies

An affiliate tracking cookie is set when a visitor clicks an outbound link to a partner casino. It lets the operator's affiliate network report whether the click led to a registration, so that commission can be calculated. These cookies are not used to follow visitors across other websites or to build a profile of gambling activity.

Third-Party Cookies

Some services used to run the site, such as content delivery providers, font providers and analytics platforms, may set their own cookies. OtherPlay does not control them directly. Each provider has its own privacy policy.

Managing Cookies

Non-essential cookies are set only after consent. The cookie banner offers a choice to accept or reject them, and the choice can be changed at any time through the cookie settings link in the footer.

Browser settings give a second layer of control. Most browsers can block all cookies, block third-party cookies or delete cookies after each session. Blocking strictly necessary cookies breaks parts of the site. Blocking analytics or affiliate cookies does not.

Changes to This Policy

This policy is updated when the cookies in use change or the law changes. The last-updated date at the top shows the most recent revision.
